COMPUTER COURSES AND DESCRIPTIONS

 

PC Beginners PM (6 lessons)

Mon & Wed 6:00 to 7:30 PM September 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24

Learn typing and Mouse basics, Manage files and folders, format text, and search the internet.  This course teaches same skills as the Saturday PC Beginners course. Registration $50

 

PC Beginners Saturdays (6 lessons)

Saturdays 10:30 AM -12:00 PM September 20, 27, October 4, 11, 18, 25

For very beginners, teaches Microsoft Windows PC operating system. Learn the parts of the computer, mouse basics, creating and managing files and folders, using a typing tutorial, edit text, save files, understand memory and storage, Internet search.  Registration $50

 

PC Hardware 3 lessons 12:30 – 2:00 PM Saturdays – October 4, 11, 18

Lesson 1 – PC function, disassembly

Lesson 2 – assembly, troubleshooting and upgrade

Lesson 3 – installation of operating system.

Students must bring own tools: static wristbands, interchangeable screwdriver (Phillips head.)

Registration $100 by Sept 30

 

PC Beginners AM  (weekday mornings 7 lessons)

Mon & Wed & Fri 10:30 – noon October 6, 8, 10, 15, 17, 20, 22

Learn typing and Mouse basics, Manage files and folders, format text, and search the internet. This course teaches same skills as the Saturday PC Beginners course. Registration $50

 

E-mail and Internet AM & PM (4 lessons)

Mondays 10:30 – noon and 6:00 PM-7:30 PM November 3, 10, 17, 24

Use Electronic mail and find resources on the world wide web. Registration $50

 

MS Office Track AM & PM Nov 4 to Dec 18 (9 Weeks)

Tuesdays & Wednesdays & Thursdays       10:00 AM – noon

Tuesdays & Wednesdays & Thursdays       6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Strong Job Development with computer file management, MS WORD, spreadsheets and graphing with MS EXCEL, and an intro to OUTLOOK and POWERPOINT. Prerequisite:   PC Beginners or placement test. Registration $150
